@flohack GPS, hotspot, microphone all work for me. I'll test NFC, battery, and other things when i get the chance. I don't know how to determine if hardware acceleration is working. But, it runs smooth.

@rocket2nfinity humm interesting maybe my GPS is faulty then. I will wait for someone else to confirm together with you
NFC is hard to confirm now, there is no real click App that you can install, but I expect it works out of box since its an easy API

@flohack A few things i've noticed:

there's a strange power off problem. You hit power off, and the phone sometimes reboots instead.

Can't be sure about battery for two reasons. First, when you plug in to charge, it does not indicate it's charging, despite clearly doing so by the rising numbers. But no lightning bolt on battery. When screen goes off, charging LED turns on also indicating charging. Second, sometimes WiFi does not come back after moving out of and back into range, or after enabling flight mode. Same with WWAN after making a call, or dropping out of area, or flight mode. It says it reconnects, but no data until you reboot. Sometimes it does properly reconnect, so it's an intermittent hang up.
-Don't know if it's important to anything, but sensors app does not show screen rotation info, even though the screen clearly rotates.
-I cannot get fingerprint reader to do anything

@flohack calls and sms work. But MMS will not because cellular menu will not let me create and set up an apn with mms settings. It simply will not save after being inputted.

Yes battery indication is a global problem in many Halium 9 devices, also fingerprint. The other things are really strange. But its a good start

@flohack I think it's the same kind of problem we had on the N6P. Something occasionally starts running away and then BT, WiFi, WWAN hangs up.
Let me know what logs or commands I can do to help troubleshoot it.

@Flohack So, after thoroughly using the 2XL, as long as the network hang up does not happen, it runs as long as it did before.
When whatever the hang up is happens, battery drains faster, network says it's on but no data, and screen becomes sluggish to respond to touches. So, it's hogging resources causing a crash. And it seems to affect network/BT only. Everything else seems to keep functioning from what I have observed. It does not cause a complete UI crash, unlike on the N6P. It just slows down, but continues to work.

So, after testing for days, the 2Xl does last twentyfour hours with typical day usage. Can't be sure if it could be better because of that occasional hang up that drops BT and WiFi/cell.
I'm wondering if it has all cores going all the time like the N6P, or is it that hang up that sometimes makes the battery seem to drain faster. But it lasts a typical day either way.

@Flohack Interesting observation - on my N6P, browser has access to microphone. On P2XL it does not. When browser asks for mic access, and you click yes, nothing happens and UT Tweak doesn't show any access. Any way to fix that?

@rocket2nfinity Not sure but that could be a Halium 9 issue. Though, I remember, mic access should not work on any device right now

@flohack Tried the MMS patch we were asked to test, works perfectly on N6P. But I cannot get it to work for the Pxl 2XL. Tried several SIM cards and every combination of options (each just worked when I put them into the N6P). At least you can now save info in the APN menu when you could not before, but MMS still does not work.

@rocket2nfinity hey everyone, I just joined the UT on P2 XL team. So far so great. Did have MMS issues so came here to find htis is the most recent issue posted. Any forward motion on that? Otherwise I am really enjoying this, thanks for great work and big thanks to the team.

Installed successfully. Awaiting a sim card, but the device is functional after installing from stock android 11.
Can't test calls/sms etc until this afternoon when Bestbuy delivers. Excited though.

Also chiming in here to say that I managed to install UT OTA-18 on my Pixel 2 XL without any issues.
I want to thank everyone here who either tested and submitted issue or wrote patches to get this device working. Excited to join the community!

I just got UT installed on my P2XL so I can test if needed.

@nitro Still need confirmation that BT and hotspot work as they do not on @Flohack device but they do on mine. (So that can be checked off on the what works list). Mine lasts a day, and i've run it for a week, but he still needs someone to confirm it works for them as well.
The only thing I know that does not work is MMS, which seems to be a halium 9 issue, not a P2XL issue.
And then there's hardware acceleration and NFC that I haven't tested. @Flohack how does one test to see if hardware acceleration is working?

@rocket2nfinity you basically download a known working MP4 with some higher resolution, classic is Big Buck Bunny 20 seconds snippet maybe, then, while opening in the media-player-app, observe CPU load.
Its a manual test based on opinion, if you think CPU load is okay, we can confirm it.Humm Hotspot is working? NFC is hard to test without an NFC tag
