-
Hello! I am running Ubuntu on my PC for dozens of years, Just got my first "second hand" touch mobile, Samsung Glaxy J6 and wonder if it is possible to port it and install UBUNTU TOUCH on it, as I really do not like Android itself and all the "spying" Can anybody advise me and help me over here, please?

Hi and welcome
Glad to see people motivated to port to new devices.
You should check there if you didn't already: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps -
Maybe it's best to continue in the other thread:
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4435/porting-to-samsung-galaxy-j6-j610f-j610g/Is there another device Galaxy J6 that is not j610f or j610g N ?
@linguamundi If it's the exact same topic please tell me and I'll lock this one to avoid multiple source of info. -
@applee Thanks... I will try Hallium and see what I can do And thanks for info on "doubling" threads. I had no idea this all works so fast. So thanks once again and should I have more q and need more a, I will use a less demanding ways

No problem, it's just in order to keep the information au vailable.
So if you have a specific question, open a new thread in the appropriate category (moderators can still move the thread later if there is a better location).
If it's more a general question regarding the work already done on the J6 then I think it's best to keep it in the older thread:
https://forums.ubports.com/topic/4435/porting-to-samsung-galaxy-j6-j610f-j610g/Future user might search for this device and it's best for them if everything is in the same thread.
Best of luck with Halium and there is also help available on Telegram for porters (it might be quicker for FAQ).
