Working on installing Ubuntu Touch on Nexus 5. Was following the guide, got quite far through the UBports process, when it rebooted back to Google it hasn't rebooted in Touch yet after an hour. It's stuck on a Google screen. I tried rebooting the phone with On/Off-Volume pressed, but the Google logo and an unlocked icon just come up again, and then nothing further happens e.g. for an hour.
It doesn't seem to be accessing a boot file. I hope I haven't f-ed up the phone, newbie fashion. It's f-ed for the time being anyway.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some help with this so I salvage the situation?
        Thanks

@michaelc This is quite common so run the installer again, make sure you boot into the boot loader first (power button and volume down together). The buttons on the Nexus 5 can stick a bit, if you press the power button a few times quickly it will loosen it up. You haven't screwed it up as it is booting to the Google logo. If you don't get into the bootloader, it is usually the power button, you just need to hit it right - Nexus 5's are pretty old and subject to a lot of wear and tear.

@mrt10001 Thx, that's what I ended up doing, worked, mostly enjoying my new open-source o/s.

A downside is, battery behavior rather different, seems to charge faster and run out of power faster than android...?

@michaelc Of course it drains more battery we are far behind energy saving features of Android. Thats not gonna change soon I think.
