@mrt10001 Thx, that's what I ended up doing, worked, mostly enjoying my new open-source o/s.
A downside is, battery behavior rather different, seems to charge faster and run out of power faster than android...?

Working on installing Ubuntu Touch on Nexus 5. Was following the guide, got quite far through the UBports process, when it rebooted back to Google it hasn't rebooted in Touch yet after an hour. It's stuck on a Google screen. I tried rebooting the phone with On/Off-Volume pressed, but the Google logo and an unlocked icon just come up again, and then nothing further happens e.g. for an hour.
It doesn't seem to be accessing a boot file. I hope I haven't f-ed up the phone, newbie fashion. It's f-ed for the time being anyway.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some help with this so I salvage the situation?
Thanks
