        Hi,

I have been using Ubuntu Touch on my Volla phone for over a week now and encountered some issues with the UI/Launcher thingy. I thought I list them here, maybe they are already getting addressed?

        • No support for phones with rounded corners.
        • No support for phones with camera notch.
        • Lockscreen doesn't work as intended, I suppose to see some text when I tap the circle but it just tries to show the launcher instead.
        • The place where you see all the apps is slow and sometimes show duplicates Anbox apps.

Other then this I didn't notice anything big or annoying.
I really like the gesture to open the running apps view and to open the list of apps.

The rounded corners and camera notch issue I fixed by applying this "hax" https://github.com/JamiKettunen/unity8-notch-hax It is not perfect but it did help a lot.

I hope it helps a little reporting on it 🙂

          --Update--
I reinstalled Ubuntu Touch using the ubports installer after bricking my phone(my own fault).
It solved the issue with the lockscreen not showing anything.

Now the lockscreen shows text. I can cycle trough them by quickly double tapping literally "tap, tap"
It still tries to show the launcher when tapping once.

@quget The lock screen has a regression since the Qt upgrade (OTA-16?). Nornally you just need to do a double tap to cycle through but now you need triple tap and a bit quickly too.

I think whatever is going on here, is unrelated to Qt 5.12. Rather, it seems something related to the launcher peeking changes in Lomiri itself, taking the first tap. Please open an issue about this, if one isn't already open.

@dobey Well there were issues with double-tap after the Qt upgrade so I guess it's possible this is related.

I need at least six fast taps and a fair bit of luck!

                  Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@kugiigi I'm pretty sure those are unrelated. If you tap on the circle, you can see the launcher peek out, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that before.
