I've avoided installing Ubuntu Touch on my Mi A2 as mine have the JDI display. However I saw that the disclaimer that JDI displays doesn't work, has been removed from the device page. Does that mean JDI display has been confirmed working on the latest version? I couldn't find any specific information about it.

I just tried installing it. Went quite a bit back an forth flashing stock android 9 and installed with the 0.9.1 installer. It finally worked after I made sure to use slot A. If I rebooted to slot A from TWRP before installing UT, it seems to work.

So I can confirm it is working with a JDI display for anyone else who are unsure.

@mihael It's a particular manufacturer of LCDs. Not all Mi A2 phones come with the same display. There used to be an issue that Ubuntu Touch didn't work on Mi A2 with a JDI LCD.

@lot Ah, ok, thanks for the explanation. I thought it had something to do with the OLED type...
