I'm new and have a BQm10

HI Folks:
I was one of the first people to buy a BQ M10 HD. in 2016, I used it for a while, and then Ubuntu announced the project was dead.
I want to use my BQ M10 HD... and want to do things like upgrade the OS, and enable useful apps. I like the size of the device and would prefer to travel with it instead of a clunky laptop.
Is this the forum where I can get info on this sort of thing?

Sure this is the right place.
First you should use ubports installer to update Ubuntu Touch on your M10.
You will find it from here : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ -
All I can say is you are lucky, working BQ M10's are like rocking horse manure. I have got Ubuntu 21.04 on a Linx 1010B tablet, works for me, but is a bit buggy (no cameras). I am searching the wilderness for a reasonably priced working M10....

I thought the terminal is installed by default. You can open the OpenStore and search for terminal

Terminal is installed by default on ubports Ubuntu Touch, but maybe as it's "unused" he's still on a canonical one, where it was not.
Maybe first he should update to last ubports UT update ^^
