        Hello,

I am a new user and I have been trying to use the SD card on my phone since I recently had an issue in which I had to reinstall the OS losing everything I had in it, googling I found a post that asked to check udiskctl dump to check whether the sd card was being detected by the system or not, and I can see that the card is in there, so it's being recognized but the system for some reason is not mounting it anywhere, I would like to know how I can mount the sd card and make it so the phone will do that everytime, I know that on regular ubuntu you just make a folder on /media, but I have been told that UT is way different to regular Ubuntu, I learned this the hard way since I tried to sudo apt-get upgrade which cause the entire issue in the first place.

        Any help is appreciated thanks!

@migue5862 What filesystem is your SD card formatted with? Only SD cards formatted as FAT32 get automatically mounted.

@migue5862 If you have a card reader you could try to check the SD card with Windows or Linux or simply reformat it in Fat 32.

@migue5862 this port is not yet able to detect the sdcard. There is a GitHub issue on this:
                    https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/android10/xiaomi-redmi-note-8-pro/xiaomi-begonia/-/issues/1

Also the devices page on https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io states that sdcard detection does not yet work.

@dpitti the card is already formatted as FAT32. I asked which device it was to be able to check in the devices website if this is expected to work in this device or not. Turns out it is known not to work yet.

@arubislander I didn't know that. Sorry. I thought that even though the SD card is formatted, it can still have errors. Xiaomi seems to have a lot of minor problems.

@dpitti No problem. I just shared my reasoning as an instruction opportunity 😊
