Hi to save necroing an old thread, I am having issues with the Pixel 2 battery drain:

I am running this alongside an Android Pixel 2 which is rock solid stable battery. The battery drain is about 4 times the android.

I have so far clean installed the Stable UT and the RC UT, both are the same apart from no Wi-Fi on the RC channel.

I am monitoring this and have loads of other options to explore yet, so I am not quite done yet.

( I am also accounting for the ages of the phones, but would not expect this so far?)

@mrt10001 On Pixel 2 and 2XL, the modem does not sleep. On airplane mode, you will see it last as long as on android if not longer.

The porter is extremely busy with the 20.04 upgrade and the VoLTE crisis. I'm sure he'll improve on battery life when he gets a chance.

@rocket2nfinity Thats what I thought, it is usually the modem or WiFi that won't sleep and drains the battery. Sometimes it is the touchscreen, which I have seen on the Nexus 4.

I will be patient and wait as my next step was going back to Android 9 (Android 10 and 11 have battery drain issues) and see if this replicates.

I specifically bought a new battery (EUR 89 in the repair shop) into my used Pixel 2 to see whats up with the battery and I confirm that. 2 issues:

• Main SoC has unused clocks running that should be disabled, but that crashes boot (wonder why not in LOS/Android)
• eventually a hardware component might miss sleep, too.

I will look from time to time if I can fix that.
