Volla Phone X goes Halium 10
If you are using a Volla Phone X you will be pleased that with OTA-22 the system image is now Halium 10 and the fingerprint reader is working. However, due to the nature of the update please observe the following precautions:

      • The update will make it impossible to switch channels until it has landed fully in stable - meaning if you are a user on RC or devel channel, do not switch channels from today Feb 8th until Feb 18th, when OTA-22 is planned to be released.
      • if you are on devel channel please bare with us if anything breaks - the heavy lifting was tested and deemed to be ok, but things can happen. If you observe any problems updating on devel please inform us at https://github.com/HelloVolla/ubuntu-touch-beta-tests/issues

If needed please restore your device with the installer.

      • If the installer fails you might need SP Flash Tool recovery. Details on that will be published and also available from Volla support.

The finger print reader, and all other hardware (apart from the "portrait mode" depth sensor camera lens) has been working on Volla using a Halium 9 port since it was first shipped, so seems to me there is no need to change the port base. Where as Volla X needed the Halium 10 port in order to get finger print reader working.

          Best regards,
          Steve Berson
