I sort of wonder why Ubuntu Touch at all. I don't really understand what purpose Ubuntu Touch furfills. Some might say that Ubuntu Touch respects user privacy that Andriod and iOS doesn't.
But if you compare Ubuntu Touch with Andriod OS like CalyxOS and GrapheneOS with F-droid then that privacy reason feels sort of redundant.
I personally don't see the reason to choose UT over CalyxOS or GrapheneOS from a privacy and a user control reason. Maybe there are other reasons. It would be intresting to hear your thought if comparing Ubuntu Touch with CalyxOS and GrapheneOS.

@kristatos I am not sure if I correctly interpret what I see at gitlab, but if I do, nothing seems to be happening regarding the port to 20.04.

@ubportsnews I am mainly interested in app development in Ubuntu Touch. Is running of Android apps via Waydroid officially supported? Are there many web apps in a clickable container? Or are the bulk of the UT apps native designed in Clickable?
And is there a possibility that Flutter will be supported for native app development on UT akin on the desktop Ubuntu.
