Hello Friends, I can't see this silly notch of the Volla any longer. So I think of getting another device, probably a Oneplus 5t. I read here that flohack is very busy in optimizing the device. But I am not sure about the battery life. I'd like to here some experiences from users. Is it a good idea, getting an OP 5t? Thanks in advance.

@odo Yes it is a good device as is the OnePlus 6T. Battery life is ok on these too. Another good device is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 which I have been using for quite a while now. I am moving over too an Asus ZenFone as it just works so well. Sorry for rambling, just mi ideas.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...

I can tell you that I really like mine. Battery life is not remarkable in any way; I have BT and mobile data always on, and it reliably gets me through the day.

@moem @MrT10001 Thanks for your ideas. Only one day battery life is not that good imo. Ok, I do not use BT at the moment, most of the time I am in standby mode with mobile data on. The battery lasts 3-4 days. My alternative device is the Pixel 3a XL, which has a lager battery than the 5T. But it sounds a bit funny in my ears: dismissing G... software but using their hardware. The Redmi Note 7 is very hard to get where I live.

Personally I would use it happily. They don't build the hardware themselves anyway, and it feels deliciously subversive to free these devices from their clutches. :smiling_face_with_horns:

@odo I have Pixel 3a's and 2a's. Not the XL, but on both the battery life is not great yet in UT, still some issues being worked on I think. If you can get the Asus ZenFone ( mentioned in the device list), that just works so well!

What a dilemma again! The zenfone has a big battery, and - great - FM Radio, but an old micro USB connector and the older processor. The Pixel 3a XL is probably faster, but has no notification LED, but is still available brand new or at least new. The OP 5T has probably the best performance (with 6 or 8 GB RAM). A clear advantage: replacing the battery of the OP 5T seems to be rather easy. In this case the Pixel needs more skill, tools, luck... Battery life 3a XL vs OP 5T - hard to say (???). The 3a XL has the larger battery (the 3a the smaller).
BTW does it make a noticeable difference having 4, 6 or 8 GB RAM?

Friends, this thread ends in the wrong category. I'll get the ZenFone in a couple of days. Hope it will work ok. I found one for a fair price, the 4 GB version. I think there are more 3 GB models out in the used market. It also seems to be a rare device here in Europe. In the end this monster battery and the memory card slot make the difference for me. And of course the FM radio. Hope the FM app will support this device some day.
Thanks MrT10001 for bringing the ZenFone back in my mind.
