Surprise. Some weeks ago I switched to helium devel channel because of the camera problems. With OTA 17 this was fixed, and today I decided to go back to stable (after many updates on hd). Watching a video on YT I realized that the phone performed much better than on hd. No lags at all. What a difference, I did not expect this.
2nd phone? I'm not sure, perhaps the OPO becomes my main device now. To answer the headline question: A very good device in 2021!

RE: Fairphone 3+ vs Volla Phone vs ?????I would not expect to much from the camera. The UT camera app is very, very basic. On today's phones mainly the app is responsible for the performance.

Asus Zenfone ZB602KL issueHello, I have already posted this topic in another thread but did not receive an answer so far. Let's try again:
I have no sd card access on my Asus Zenfone ZB602KL. When the device updates a warning appears: "E: [libfs_mgr]Warning: unknown flag resize"
What does this mean? Can anybody help? Thanks in advance.

FM Radio on Sony Xperia XHello, this is my first post. I use UT for some years now on a nexus 5. The phone is 7 years old and a bit slow. So I plan to change to a Sony Xperia X (F5121). I like having the fm radio. My question is: does this work with OTA-13. Thanks for reading.

RE: Is One Plus One still a good device for Ubuntu Touch in 2021?@deutch1976 In my experience the video performance is a bit weak compared to newer phones. I'd recommend a newer device if watching videos on YT, news channels etc. is important. Besides this you can't go wrong with the OPO.

RE: Asus Zenfone ZB602KL issue@mrt10001 Thanks very much. I'm sorry, I'm a bit impatient and decided to leave UT on this phone with a very mixed feeling. I'm on Lineage 19.1 now. Everything works as it should, no problem with the sd card, and I have fm radio, which is great. But the main thing is battery life. I know the battery on this device is not new and I have already purchased one. But hey, what a difference with LOS! I think a battery replacement is not necessary at the moment. The battery life is the biggest problem with UT, perhaps not on all devices.
I like UT very much and leaving this OS hurts. With my Volla I'm on SF OS, main advantage is also battery life, and of course the notch... Perhaps I come back when 20.04 is out to give it a try. In the meantime I use my old Nexus 7 with UT from time to time to check what happens.

RE: Need feedback about Anbox apps as a daily practiceI tried Anbox on my OPO some days ago. I was surprised having a couple of standard apps on my phone I do not need - as already posted above. If you do not want/need these apps you cannot delete them, you can only deactivate them, but not all, like on the most Android phones. This reminded me why I left Android for UT. Another drawback is the installation procedure. You can't install apps with the store, e.g. F-Droid.
Ok, nice experience, but not my cup of tea. I then tried to delete Anbox again. This is not easy. In the end I flashed my phone completely new with the UB-ports installer.
IMO you can't have everything. I you want everything you need more than one phone.

RE: Installing on the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 - PART 2@MrT10001 Thanks again. Great help. I will check all options for my phone. UT is the OS I generally like the most, since years. The only big point I'm still thinking of is the power consumption.

RE: Installing on the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 - PART 2Thanks very much for the instructions.
I own this phone, it's my main daily driver so far, it runs with LOS. I have already installed UT on it some years ago, we talked about my sd card issues in an older thread.
Now, LOS stopped supporting the Max Pro M1 and I think of coming back to UT for a 2nd try sooner or later. I'm not in a hurry.
Because my phone is already unlocked some main work is done. But the rest sounds complicated enough. I have the latest LOS version installed (Android 13). So it needs the downgrade first - this makes me a bit hesitant.

RE: Asus Zenfone ZB602KL issue@mrt10001 I know /e/OS but I prefer LOS. Ver. 19.1. looks very good to me.

RE: Asus Zenfone ZB602KL issueDid it. Nothing changes. The warning appears again while the device installs, no sd card access after the procedure.

RE: Asus Zenfone ZB602KL issue@mrt10001 Thanks for your replay. I can format the card without any problems. But then nothing happens. I tried Sandisk and Kingston cards.
I wiped personal data when I installed the device. After I have noticed the issue I used the installer a second time -- but without wiping the data. That's a good point. I will try the whole procedure again.

RE: Installing on the Asus Zenfone ZB602KL.....Hello, It seems I made a step forward, but I can't solve the problem. Is anybody here who can help?
I realized that I have no access to the sd card. The warning has something to do with this issue I guess. I have to repeat the warning exactly:
 "E: [libfs_mgr]Warning: unknown flag resize"
 Is this a known issue?

RE: Installing on the Asus Zenfone ZB602KL.....Hello again, I'd like to repeat my question posted above. I get a warning after every update (I'm on dev channel at the moment). When the UB ports logo appears while the device installs the updates I can read "warning; unknown flag resize". Can anybody tell me what this means? Is something wrong with my installation? Or is it a general issue with the zenfone? tnx in advance.

RE: Installing on the Asus Zenfone ZB602KL.....@mrt10001 My thoughts too. But I also have a very short wish list: another e-mail app and a working FM radio app. Browser is ok, but I think there are better FOSS alternatives available in f-droid.
