The foundation, AFAIK is not working on it.
But if a porter is willing to work on a port for the Redmi 4 then it should be possible. -

@suoko Edge will probably remain on Xenial. Whenever 20.04 comes along, it will initially be a seperate channel. That is how it is for the other devices where it has become available.
