@vin I suffered the same issue!. I have another "l" and it works fine on UT. I have yet to get round to investigating the issue. I think hardware revision might be slightly different. The battery looks like the original as well.
I put mine back on Android using the Lenovo recovery tool and it works fine.

So bought myself 605f the battery wasnt that good so i replaced it with an oem battery allworks fine though the battery graph in settings doesnt read properly.
I swapped the battery from my 605l with the old battery from the 605f Hey presto the tablet battery is being read by upower and the the battery level is not reading at 100% and is charging correctly.
The battery removed from the 605l was a genuine lenovo battery. and was working with its original operating system.
For me this problem is solved

@yuu-ä3 having problems uploading picture asthe file is to big and idont know how to shrink it.
Looking at both the batteries which are both genuine the battery that doesnt behave is from Sunwoda electronics and the one that does work is from NingDe Amperex Technology limited,
I have also used a generic battery bought from ebay at that worked as it should.hope this helps

@vin you can open it up in a program like GIMP or Paint on Windows and save it as jpeg. That usually shrinks it down to a manageable size.

@MrT10001 thanks dont have windows and not dont have a working laptop for gimp.i think the battery problem lies with the battery and where it is made having seen a photo of a battery on a similar thread, might be worth checking the tablets that have this problem and see where they are made.
