Installation fails

I was lucky to see, that installing focal is possible. But whatever I tried, its failing
Output says: Couldn't load bitmap icon_error (error -7) and Update failed, please reboot and try again.
I did several tries with and without wiping, focal or xenial, always the same errors appear, device will only boot into recovery. -
I've been seeing the exact same results.

In the meantime I once suceeded in installing xenial after flashing the firmware manually by using fastboot. Then I again tried to install focal and now its the same again, nothing goes. -
@messayisto After another six attempts it has now xenial, rc again. I don't know how I fixed this, but I mark this hread as solved and put my old darling back on the cupboard...

Ok i didn't understand clearly as you said "In the meantime I once suceeded in installing xenial" i believed you didn't have problem installing Xenial, reading again now i got it, trying installing focal make your device fail to boot anything. -
