        Dear Developers,
I would like to tell you that you operating system Ubuntu touch looks great and interesting but due to lack of device compatible issue with Vivo and some oppo device we didn't get a change to try this new operating system
Therefore, I highly request you to make Ubuntu touch available for Vivo y71i so we can experience it

        Thanks you for Reading 🙂

        one of your fellow fan

          Hello and welcome @vinay5

I moved your post to the Off Topic category.
There are several reasons why requesting a port does not work and is not welcome.

          • It's a lot of work. You are asking volunteers to do weeks or months of unpaid work. Yes, ports are made by volunteers.
          • For porting, the volunteer making the port needs to have the device in hands. Otherwise it's like you are asking a tailor to make you a suit without taking your measurements: it will not fit.
          • Not all devices can run Ubuntu Touch. Here is an article that explains some of the reasons why.

In other words: you can't request a port. You can use an existing port, or you can make one for your own device. Those are the options you have.

          Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@vinay5 Sadly it doesn't wok like that. It mostly depends if someone who has the device is willing and capable of creating the port. Then at that point, it'll then depend to the manufacturer if they release kernel sources which is essential to creating usable ports and other aspects of the device as well such as unlockable bootloader.
