        Hello there !
I have a oneplus 5 with ubuntu touch on it and trying to plug an icy box : this one https://icybox.de/en/product.php?id=11

However, when trying to settup an external display, it looks like the icy box is not recognized and i don't have the external monitor choice.

How could i investigate the problem here ? Is there anything i am missing here ?
        Regards

@Tartine Does the OP5 hardware even support display out via the USB C connection?

Unfortunately, I don't think OP5 supports wired external display. I don't think any OnePlus device does except maybe the newer ones. Your only choice would be wireless display but compatibility is a hit and miss. It's only known to work well on Microsoft Wireless Adapter. And even if it work, input lag would be noticeable so it's not really ideal.

@Tartine Best way is to check their official specs documentations. It's usually called alt displayport or hdmi. Flagship Samsung and Huawei usually have them. Older devices have slimport or MHL. Gsmarena can be a good place to check but it's not always accurate. For example, Meizu MX4 is tagged to have MHL but it really don't πŸ˜„

                  I found this list :
                  https://www.uperfectmonitor.com/pages/list-of-smartphones-with-displayport-alt-mode
Does it seems correct ? Should i cross-check with gsmarena ?

@Tartine Like I said, most accurate would be the official docs of the device πŸ˜„
