Mint Mobile and phone not working

Has anyone had any experience with Mint mobile and difficulty dialing out or receiving calls? I have a 3A with Fossa on it and have looked forward to using Ubports forever but when I dial out it takes ~ a minute before it tries to connect and all my incoming calls go to voice mail. I try to keep updates done on a daily basis and have done update as of today, 5/3/23.

@Moem Thanks for the link, I got phone working on 3A using 2G. Both incoming and outgoing are working. Is there a better phone or carrier to avoid the dance of configuration when attempting to use UT? Still would like to have MMS using LTE.
