From Disappointed to Pleasantly Surprised

I first joined up and used the Nexus 5 and I loved it. What a great little phone. The install process was easy and it worked great. Unfortunately, as you all know, the providers got rid of 3G and there were apparently going to be issues getting UT to even work after the switch. I was extremely disappointed. Not in the efforts of all of you, but sad that I was no longer going to be able to use UT
I came back a year or so later and discovered you had added support to the Pixel 3a. I just installed it and am running it now and it runs even better than the N5. I am just so impressed with all the work all of you do here and I am so happy to have my UT back.
Thank you all for all of your hard work.
Time to donate.

@GeekBone Voice and SMS should work on 2g, however data won't or won't work well. I remember the move to 3g and it blew everyone away. 5g has been rubbish, stick with 4g (sending from a 5g phone). Ubuntu touch was and still is a breath of fresh air from the cloying data scraping iOS and Android. Unfortunately I have to use both which is annoying!

If you haven't already done so, please consider a donation to the porter of the Pixel 3a directly as well. His efforts are purely on a voluntary basis. Maybe split the amount you were planning on donating between the foundation and the porter?
