        I know that I'm almost alone in here with my Shift6mq running xenial as an almost daily driver. Almost as in I have a phone from work as well that runs exactly one critical app that I would not be easily able to run on the shift phone.
        Other than that I'm still very happy with the UBPort and still love it.

        However, there are some issues and I was getting daily updates, some of those devel updates fixed some issues. This stopped about a month ago so I was wondering what are the plans for Shift6mq to upgrade to FF 20.04 and/or keep development upgrades running? I do appreciate that with very little demand, if any, this is not a priority but still want to know.

        Thanks and keep up the great work! πŸ™‚

          @krang Development has ceased on 16.04, which corresponds to your experience of not getting anymore daily updates on the devel channel.

          I do not know if there is anyone developing 20.04 on your device. I would suggest you contact SHIFT GmbH, as I am pretty sure they sponsored the initial port in the first place.

            @arubislander Sounds like a plan, thanks for that and the info.
            Very helpful. I'll come back if I know more. Maybe of interest for anybody thinking about a shift.

              Unfortunately I got a standard rather random answer that I can choose whatever OS I like for the shift and that I'm depending on the community's or my own efforts to port. No word about their recent activities etc. no word about planned support.
              So I'm basically back to square one with my phone I wished I had gone for a Fairphone... πŸ˜•

                @krang That's sad to hear …

                Though, I wouldn't lose hope just yet … maybe @amartinz and @Flohack know more about SHIFTs stand on this? According to the device page they contributed to the port alongside SHIFT GmbH.

                As a side note, there is also work done to bring up postmarketOS on SHIFT6mq in which @amartinz also seems to be involved! Although that might not be suitable for your daily use …

                (I'm also interested in Shiftphones regarding non-Android-OS-support, which is why I was having an eye on this subforum ;))
