FP2 camera loading forever
-
I had the /e/ OS installed on my Fairphone 2 and the camera was working fine. it was Android version 10.
Now I installed Ubuntu Touch. The camera does not work: the app opens but stays on the loading screen with the app logo and the turning-wheel icon.
There is no SD card in my FP2. I also tried with an SD card inserted and it makes no difference.
The battery indicator seems to be going crazy sometimes because switches to red and then back to half-charged.
OS installed: Ubuntu 16.04 2023-05-07
any help appreciated -
@Ced said in FP2 camera loading forever:
it was Android version 10.
So, there is the problem.
The FP2 has two ports, one based on "legacy" way, wich was the canonical way of porting, and another one, based on Halium 7.1.
First has a stable channel, wich work quite well and has a camera working, second only has a dev channel, and, from what i know, is not daily usable.Anyway i think for both those ports, you have to have a FP running FPOS android 7.
I guess you installed stable port, so you should have a working camera.
Didn't ubports installer told you you have a specific version of android running on your FP2 before starting installation ?
You'll now have to reinstall the good android version on your FP2, and after that run ubports installer again to install FP2 UT (stable).
You can also go to ubports telegramm channel to get help and details for the process : https://t.me/WelcomePlus
Edit :
Oh, i see from device page that version 2023-05-07 you installed is halium-devel, so definetly not to use if you want a working phone. So again, install the appropriate android version and then the stable UT version for this phone.Give a chance to the telegramm help channel i gave you for install process and details, there actually are 250 users online.
And report your progress here and how you sorted your issue ^^
