Focal OTA-2 install fail
-
@lduboeuf Unsure if this should be in a new post or not - but OnePlus 5T having issues upgrading to OTA-2 Focal
System -> Updates -> version 2 -> install -> restart and install -> reboots the device into recovery mode(available options are reboot or factory reset), doesn't install the update
Edit to add: channel: 20.04 Stable

Yes it should ^^
So i didDid you try to use ubports installer without ticking wipe data option ?

@alextcranglesim Clear the downloaded items from the download queue and allow it to download again. Then install, it may take one or two attempts to get it to install. If it doesn't follow @Keneda's advice.

@MrT10001 Hello!
Same problem here!
Log report the absence of key/signature..
And how do you clear the download cache in order to retry download?
Thks! -
@mascaret In the updates screen at the top right corner there is a little bin, tap that to clear the cache.
My OP 5's and 5T's need a charge and the one I have up and running Focal is not picking up any new updates yet.
Update, looks like I was on the 20.04 RC channel so wouldn't update. Installed using the UT installer without ticking "Wipe Data" and it is up and running on OTA-2.

@MrT10001 Hello!
I indeed noticed the bin icon and gave it a go.
To no avail.
Will try the installer.
Thanks anyway! -
@mascaret The OTA-2 update on the Pixel3a went through fine (well took two attempts) on the device update.
OP5 and 5T had their update issues on Focal RC channel, but this was resolved. I am charging up my other devices to really put this to the test.

@MrT10001 Hi!
Just did the update with the installer from Pop OS with an AppImage. OTA 2 is now installed and running.
With OTA-1, no desimlock upon boot. Now it works without going through the phone app.
Though, I have no internet connection via cellular.
Are there special settings for the Free operator (from France)?
Have a nice day!!! -

@alextcranglesim Boot into the operating system and allow the installer to detect the device. Allow it to reboot to the bootloader. It hangs at this point. Unplug the device from the pc leaving the UT installer running. Power of the device and press the volume up and power to boot to the bootloader. If that fails power of the device and press volume down and volume up and power together. Once in the bootloader plug the device back in to the pc and the installer will carry on.

@mascaret I have yet to test cellular data.

Ok, update. OP5t on 20.04 stable won't update through the update channel. So it looks like the issue is back.
