@davidj Hi just boot to fastbootd download latest artifacts from gitlab https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android11/lenovo-tab-m10-hd/lenovo-m10-hd/-/jobs/5859197854, extract and do:
              fastboot flash system ./ubuntu.img

For waydroid to work you may need to reboot the device.

@rubencarneiro Hi thanks for the port.

I have tried it on the wifi only 2Gb 32Gb model and it went into a boot loop.

Partitioning userdata to EXT4 gave this output:

terminating with uncaught exception of type std::out_of_range

This I assume the format to EXT4 failed so when setting up it failed to either find a user data partition or couldn't write to it, so boot looped.

Recovered the tablet with the crappy Lenovo Recovery tool, which locked the boot loader, so the tablet is functional at least.

Apart from that, the attempt (s) at install went as I would expect.

I will keep an eye out for the 4Gb 64Gb version and try again when I can.

@rubencarneiro Hi, got hold of a 4Gb 64Gb version of the device. Followed the readme and it seems to install fine. I used the binary fastboot version as described and all seemed to install OK.

Give it a few minutes to finish off and reboot. The device goes into a reboot loop.

Did you use a Windows or Linux machine?

Ha, finally got it working..... Very nice so far.

Two points, many thanks to @rubencarneiro for the port and for updating the Readme which I noted a requirement of Android 11. The other point and this should be a given, it requires the bootloader unlocking. I used windows 11 and powershell and had to use:

                      ./fastboot flashing unlock

It does open up in desktop mode, but that can be switched off.

It won't work on the 2Gb 32Gb version as there is no Android 11 for that yet, but I am looking and will let you all know.

Edit: the 2Gb 32Gb tablet is not on Lenovo's upgrade matrix to Android 11. You will need the 4Gb 64Gb tablet to run UT!

I know... But if I do puchase one I want it to be the right one. I mean 2nd gen not 3rd etc. Therefore I'd like to know the item number.

@pe3noATo2DOTpl The TB-X306X has a 4G modem for data. The specs are the same when comparing the TB-X306F v the TB-X306X apart from the modem. It may or may not work. What I do know is that the:

TB-X306F 4Gb RAM and 64Gb Storage works and works well.

TB-X306F 2Gb RAM and 32Gb Storage does not work due to no Android 11 for this device.

If I had a TB-X306X 4Gb/64Gb to hand I would try it, but I do not, so cannot recommend that path
                                      until I get more knowledge.

(Apologies, I keep using ROM to mean eMMC storage, manufacturers call it "internal memory")
