@Moem yes, I did. But the very first question I cannot answer is: should I use the full system image or halium-boot method or the stand-alone kernel method. I don't understand the differences.
As I mentioned: I'm not very familiar with mobiles.

UB on new Devices
Hey,
I see a big problem in the short list of supported devices.
I use UB on a one+ one for a while now but it is damaged now. So I'd like to have a rough one. But there is no UB for that ....
I really like to have UB to run on a Blackview BV4900 but I don't have the time to port it by myself. I would donate it with 50€ if there were a image for bv4900 ...
Or I would need some more basic introduction to port it by myself. I'm linux/network engineer but i do not know much about mobiles.
Can someone help?

RE: Installation on OnePlus One failes. Stuck at bootscreen after Installation.
Wow .. that really work out! Thanks to @MrT10001 !!
I had to change one line in the install script of OxygenOS, because my device had forgotten that it is a OnePlus. Then it worked.
Ubuntu Touch is running now. Have some miner "issues" like I don't know how to close camera app .. but I will figure it out.

RE: Installation on OnePlus One failes. Stuck at bootscreen after Installation.
I really did. I retried it. When UBports tould me "Ubuntu Touch successfully installed!" I left it untouched and went for a walk with the dogs.
After that it remaind in Recovery Mode. Just rebooted it. Screen says "powered by Ubuntu" again. Will leave it for another half an hour .. -
RE: Installation on OnePlus One failes. Stuck at bootscreen after Installation.
Well, it did not exactly boot into UT. I try to discribe it:
- I had to press Volume-UP + Power to get into Fast boot.
- ubports wrote firmware
- I had to pres Volum-Down + Power to get into recovery mode
- ubports copied the files to the device
- device rebooted by itself
- next screen was "Installing Updates"
- then it return to recovery mode
- I press Power to confirm reboot
- then it got stuck
I just installed the devel and give it a try. I will come back in an hour or two to write the result ..
Thank you a lot for helping!

RE: Installation on OnePlus One failes. Stuck at bootscreen after Installation.
Thx for the fast reply. I connected device to a 2000mA USB charger 30 min ago and rebooted with the same result.
I never before flashed a smartphone so I'm not sure the Installation went ok. ubports told me it went ok. After Installation the device told me it would install some updates. After that it went back to the recovery screen. After reboot it got stuck at the screen "powered by ubuntu<...>".
Are there any logfiles I can access?

Installation on OnePlus One failes. Stuck at bootscreen after Installation.
Hello There,
I just got a OnePlus One and tried to install Ubuntu touch using ubports on my kali Linux.
Installation it self seems to work but after reboot the device got stuck at "powered by ubuntu<...>" for about 10 hours.
I reinstalled UT with the same effect.
Can someone help? I really would like to have a Smartphone .. but I wouldn't ever use iOS or Android
Cheers
