@aimar Thanks for trying this and confirming the expected behaviour. I also do not get any reaction (besides the 2 seconds spinning wheel) for any of the other account options (Google, ownCloud, Generic CalDAV)

RE: WIFI connection to eduroam
@aimar Thanks for the suggestion. I did try that. But since I never successfully connected to that network it is not listed under 'Previous networks'. I also had a look in
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections
but also there is no entry for that network. -
RE: WIFI connection to eduroam
@gandalf Thanks for the link. That is exactly my problem. OK, will monitor that other thread then...

RE: SIM card locked for calls but unlocked for cellular data?
Thanks for chiming in! I am in Germany, but I guess it is the still instable modem in PP. After a reboot the SIM card not even recognized at all.
(I followed the mentioned blog to get ubuntu touch installed, but did not consider these symptoms of an 'unstable modem'...) -
RE: Unable to take Screenshot
Hi all, just to confirm that I see the same behaviour (reboot instead of screenshot) on a Pinephone64. And indeed, pressing both volume buttons does also not take a screenshot for me.

SIM card locked for calls but unlocked for cellular data?
Hi all,
I am playing with a newly installed ubuntu touch (focal) on a Pinephone64.
I am having trouble with my SIM-card, though. It has been detected alright and I have unlocked it. I can now browse the internet over mobile data.
But the dialer app still says the SIM card is locked. (And indeed there is an 'L' in one of the symbols in the top bar, although I do not know if that indicates a somehow locked SIM card...)
All in all, my SIM card is apparently unlocked for data, but not for calls? I do not see any option to unlock the SIM card again.
How would I proceed from here?
Thanks in advance!

nextcloud
Hi all,
I can't connect to a nextcloud instance.
Ubuntu touch is freshly installed on a Pinephone.
I installed GhostCloud which tells me, that no account is setup yet. By selecting
Add account
I am re-directed to the system settings 'Accounts'. There is an entry 'Nextcloud' but when I select that, I see the circulating wheel for ~2 seconds, but nothing more happens. Is that supposed to work? And if so, what am I missing? Thanks in advance!

WIFI connection to eduroam
Hi all,
I am new to ubuntu touch (on a Pinephone) and love it so far!
Unfortunately, I have trouble connecting to eduroam. eduroam is a Wifi network available in many academic institutions that uses 'WPA2 enterprise' encryption, so that I need to be able to select some settings (such as MSCHAPV2) and a corresponding certificate.
When I first tried to connect, I think there was a proper settings dialog. But I did not have the certificate available, so I cancelled the connection attempt.
Now, when I select eduroam there seems to be a settings dialog briefly available, but that one is instantly replaced by a dialog that only asks for a password. The section 'Security' in that dialog is empty. Obviously, that is not enough and connection attempts fail.
(I had a look in
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
but there is no entry for eduroam.)So, my question is: how do I connect to eduroam?
