forgot to say that for some reason I don't know, the smartphone automatically start to the android bootloader (the one with the robot), after being powered off.

RE: [Porting] Call for Testers
Also, could the bootloader be locked without losing any files after the installation is done?

I finally been able to install Ubuntu Touch on my Goole Pixel XL. I would want to know if I'll need to flash every next release to get fixes and updates.
Thanks a lot for the port. -

Download the customization of the device: halium-boot, system and vendor image provided by porter
I don't know at all what "porter" is.
Oh you mean those files?

Always the lastest one or a specific one?

@Flohack
I would want to become a tester for Ubuntu on my smartphone.
It's a Google Pixel XL (1st gen) that have 128 Gb storage and actually running Android 10.
And I would want to completely remove Android from it as soon as possible.
I think I'll need some help to proceed to the installation since it's the first time I install Linux on a smartphone. I saw your post that explains from where to download everything and I'm not sure from where to get everything (e.g. downloads related to Porter) and if it's the right things for my smartphone (according to TWRP mine is marlin not halium ...).
