Can you give us an update on the HW enablement of the PineTab for UT?
Given the similarities in HW, it seems likely that the progress made on the PinePhone benefits the Tab as well. Can we assume that it is in roughly the same condition as the PinePhone?

In the dutch language group, someone joined who wanted to possibly pay for the development of a native app. This app would be to access a commercial service that already has native apps on Android and IPhone. He was asking in what way the UBPorts foundation could assist that commercial company in creating such an app?
- Would the foundation legally be allowed to go into contract with this outside company to build that app for them in exchange for payment? (and what if that outside company required this to be a closed-source app?)
- What ways does UBPorts have to assist outside developers in developing apps, who may not be familiar with the UT platform?

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 51 Saturday 1st Of June At 19:00 UTC
We are so busy with finding, analysing and fixing bugs that we sometimes loose sight. This week it struck me again how good my phone OS actually is. Compared to the last Canonical images, it is so much more advanced and so much more stable. I remember beeing used to Unity8 and OS crashing on a weekly basis. the other day I realised that I havnt seen any of that happen a single time for months. Also, I don't really feel hampered by the absence of a particular app (although ofcourse I too have a big wishlist for both OS and app improvements). This same week I read that the highly regarded Phoronix website named us:
"one of the most viable and furthest along Linux open-source smartphone operating systems". Furthermore, I noticed the UBPorts install vid on Youtube is now coming up to 150.000 views.Despite all this, as far as I can tell (you guys may know more) best estimates still have us well under 10.000 users running UT as a daily driver world wide. This makes no sense to me.
My simple question is: Why do you guys think that is? What can/should we all do to promote adoptation of Ubuntu Touch? Or, conversely, are you of the opinion that we should just continue improving UT technically and the many will come to us eventually?

RE: Ubuntu Touch Q&A 50
Another Pine64 question: Both the PinePhone and the PinebookPro seem to be moving along very nicely. The PineTab hasn't seen the same tracktion. A couple of days ago I saw someone ask a question about why that is on the Pine64 site. Lukasz from Pine64 answered that they were holding back on the PineTab on purpose because they needed to figure out what OS options there are for the PineTab.
My Question: UT seems like an obvious candidate for the Tab. Are you guys in discussion with Pine64 about the PineTab specifically?
And If so, is there not also a worry that the rather low specs for the PineTab make it a less then ideal showcase for UT which might also turn out to reflect negatively on us? -

I hear that the Librem 5 dev kits are on the verge of being shipped. Will UT get one or more of them? What are your expectations when changing out Hybris to whatever it is we will be needing instead to enable that hardare?

now that we are on solid ground again thanks to the 16.04 move, what are your thought on the longer term feature development and design changes (if any) you guys would like to see happen? IIRC there are still quite some changes available that were developed by Canonical for UT that never landed. Is that correct? Are those or any other design changes on the cards to be worked into UT?
