@MrT10001 It is a TB-X306F, but the 2GB Android 10 version. The installer recognised it (but made no further check about ram or Android version).

I flashed Android 11 onto it, which seemed to work, and then installed UT. Almost everything seems to work, although sometimes not fluently, but the sound is not working at all. I have to try with usb audio or bt audio. It might be that the audio hardware got upgraded for the Android 11 models and the drivers don't understand the old hardware. I would have to re-flash Android 11 to check if sound works on Android 11. It worked fine on Android 10.

My tablet is now bricked but not dead (it shows "Product: MT65xx Preloader"). Has anyone recovered it? I believe the installer should have warned me.

A couple of things:
There seem to be a sequence of adding/removing fingerprints that leaves the unlock screen funky, so no pin entry keyboard is shown. I don't know how to unlock my phone now. Fingerprint unlock seems to work 'for a while' and then does not. It is a phone for playing, so I'll end up resetting it again. I'll try a usb keyboard before resetting.

The latest ota upgrade left the phone on the Samsung banner screen. I re-installed from zero to recover it (recovery mode worked, so other strategies might have worked)

I have installed 20.04 on my new old herolte device. I might find some time if I can help testing some thing. Experienced Linux/Python user. I would be interested in wireless screen.

@rapto Nope. System destroyed again. There must be something I am not doing right.

@rapto Never mind. Started from 'flash stock rom' and retrying...

I tried to follow the instructions. Now it says "the system has been destroyed". ¿Any chance of recovery?

I have bought 5 or six of these and they work fine. The screen is cracked, but everything is working. I paid 20 EUR for each. Ubuntu Touch (and LineageOS) runs very smoothly.

Just installed. BQ M10 HD seems to behave well, uname tells me 3.10.93 built on Jan 31. FM app detects headphones (or not) but seems frozen afterwards.

I could try to help, but I would need a guide. I have (largely outdated) experience compiling kernels for pc.
