Had a heck of a time getting this to install. . . finally got it. . . figured I'd post my steps:
- Flash TWRP
- Full wipe via TWRP
- Manually flash Android 7.1.2 via bootloader
- Boot into & minimally setup Android
- Enable USB debugging
- Boot into TWRP (had to reflash via bootloader)
- Wipe Cache & Data
- Format Data
- Flash ubports via installer (new version was available as of Dec 12
After step 9, the phone rebooted into the ubports updater screen. It stuck there for a while. . . so, I left it alone and ran some errands. When I came back. . . boom! While I don't have service on it, I AM posting from my ubports 6p. . .
