@luksus thanks for your answers. I have just finished installing UT and the installation was seamless. I'm impressed with this ubports-installer.

@sm-xcx I just updated from 16.04 to 24.04 today. The one thing that sticks out to me is that it shows zero signal strength for both VOLTE signal and Wi-Fi signal. As soon as I make a phone call some signal strength appears (but I think it is switching to 2G). Wi-Fi is odd too: it might show zero signal strength, but when I go to Wi-Fi settings and choose my home Wi-Fi network, the signal strength comes back. It is enough for me to wonder if it is using Wi-Fi, so I plugged in an ethernet adapter before accessing the internet.

There was also a bit of sluggishness. I noticed it earlier when I went to System Settings, then System Information, then Check for Updates, then tried to return to System Settings, and the settings just froze. However, on subsequent tries it is working normally.

@MrT10001 Thanks. I've reflashed with the UBports installer and the phone is back!

I saw there was an OTA update this morning and I installed it. My phone rebooted to install the update, then rebooted again and has been on the boot screen for several hours. Should I not install OTA updates?

I guess I need to reflash using the ubports installer again?

I have bought a brand new Fairphone 3+. It is running Android 10 but is prompting me to upgrade to 11. At the moment the Fairphone website only provides links to Android 11 images.

So I have two questions:
Q1 - I think I already know the answer to this, but I want to check: the ubports FP3 page currently says Ubuntu Touch OS for FP3 is built on Halium 10.0, therefore needs Android 10? Therefore does this mean I must not upgrade to 11, and if I do, then I won't be able to install Ubuntu? I also believe it is then not possible to roll back Android to 10 from 11, is this correct?

Q2 - As I cannot find any downloads of Fairphone OS Android 10, I cannot restore Android 10 can I? So if either the install doesn't work, or if I decide I don't want Ubuntu Touch OS anymore, then I must install Android 11?
