    • RE: Syncthing on Ubuntu Touch?

      This seems to be the source for the old package: https://github.com/ZeroPointEnergy/syncthing-click

      I looked at it quickly - perhaps it wouldn't be hard to update, as it might just require bumping the relevant version numbers.

      I've never tried to do anything with Ubuntu Touch packages, so I'm not certain how hard/difficult it might be.

      Re: Best way of using Syncthing on Ubuntu Touch?

      Is there any way of using Syncthing with Ubuntu Touch? I'd really like to be able to keep certain files in sync (as I do with my Android phone) - this would greatly enhance the usefulness of my Ubuntu Touch device. I think it once existed as an app, no?

      @advocatux That would be great. I find Syncthing to be pretty essential software for me. (Jakob Borg is actually the main developer for Syncthing as a project, isn't he?)

    • Best way of using Syncthing on Ubuntu Touch?

      What is the best way of using Syncthing on Ubuntu Touch? I came across https://swalladge.id.au/archives/2016/07/11/syncthing-ubuntu-touch/ . Is that the best way of doing it?

      I've tried installing syncthing via the syncthing ppa inside of bash (in the libertine chroot), but couldn't get it to launch via systemd.

    • RE: emacs...

      @dobey said in emacs...:

      @emacsomancer That is the version available in Ubuntu 16.04. You could add a PPA or such which has a newer version for 16.04 on armhf, if you wish, but eh only official archive version would be 24.5.

      Right, no, I get that. What I actually wanted to ask is: (a) is there a PPA which has a newer version of Emacs for 16.04?[1] (b) If so, how do I add PPAs in Libertine?

      [1] There's this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~kelleyk/+archive/ubuntu/emacs , but it's not clear to me whether it has support for arm.

      Is there a way to get a more recent version of Emacs than 24.5 on UT? (Also, does xmodmap work for rebinding capslock on an external bluetooth keyboard?)

      Is there any way to get the volume buttons to act as modifier keys? Termux on Android does that, and it works pretty well.

      And I'd add that I too would be very interested to know more about @BryWilson 's emacs on UT setup, especially the texlive in a chroot part.
