Cannot install available Update
-
Hello,
i just updated my old canonical installation to ubports OTA-3 15.04. (using an Aquaris 4.5). Everthing went fine, except this one thing: in open store one single update (all others went fine) cannot by clicked / installed. As you can see in screenshot attached there is an update for clock app. But when touching on the line "Clock" , nothing happens. So i cannot install it. If you touch the word "clock", background becomes gray for 1 second, but nothing opens / happens. I installed logviewer and found this line appearing just after my touch:
PackagesCache::getPackageDetails(const QString&)::<lambda(const OpenStoreReply&)> Error retriving info from QUrl( "https://open-store.io/api/v3/apps/com.ubuntu.clock?frameworks=ubuntu-sdk-13.10,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-dev1,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-html-dev1,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-html,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-papi-dev1,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-papi,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-qml-dev1,ubuntu-sdk-14.04-qml,ubuntu
Has anybody an idea how to get rid of this problem ?
Thanks
Michael

@michael I'm not sure on that one update but I would advise you to now continue on your update by moving to 16.04. The main reason being 15.04 is outdated and nearly finished and will not be getting any more updates (which might be affecting the clock but not sure). If you are on 15.04 stable by changing the update channel in system settings to dev you should be able to move to 16.04 dev quite easily. Then you can switch to 16.04 stable which is best for a daily driver.

@Lakotaubp Yes, thank you. Ok, the single update that doesn't want getting installed isn't such a big Problem and I thought with 16.04. there were some issues - but yes, you're right. In this case moving to 16.04. seems to be a good option. So I will give it a try :-). Thanks.... Michael
