) I was used to use in my BQ E4.5 a complete system, based on the tar archive vivid-preinstalled-touch-armhf.tar.gzAfter untaring this, one could just saytar tzf vivid-preinstalled-touch-armhf.tar.gz | more bin/ bin/login bin/tailf bin/umount bin/systemd-notify bin/netcat ... mkdir myRoot cd myRoot sudo tar xzf ../vivid-preinstalled-touch-armhf.tar.gz sudo chroot myRoot ...and do there inside the device normal Linux development, or even use applications compiled there from outside the
myRootby launching~/myRoot/usr/sbin/tcpdumpWell, now with 16.04-OTA5 xenial, do we have some similar tar-archive? The place from where the vivid system was fetched is empty for xenial:

I found some old mirror and will test this:

You can get the UBports rootfs from http://cdimage.ubports.com/rootfs/ I think.
