I can't get my Nexus 5 to connect to my Linux computer. I tried installing it once and now it will only go to the boot loader screen. I think I forgot to put it in developer mode. Did I brick it?
-
Have you tried using a different USB cable? It often makes a difference.
-
Yes, I have tried a couple different ones. No luck.
-
@CampOwl From the bootloader screen can you not get to recovery and go from there.
-
I can open recovery, but I don't know where to go from there.
-
@CampOwl can you remind me what options are there. Think there should be factory reset or restart android. Either of those will sort you out.
-
It's actually the UBports recovery it's got reboot system now, Ubuntu actions, Android actions, reboot to boot-loader, power down and recovery logs. I've gone through most of them and the only things that really do anything is reboot system now and power down.

@CampOwl ok so you got that far. This might be easier if you can join the welcome and install group here https://t.me/WelcomePlus Can you try connecting your device to your laptop/pc and running adb devices in a terminal. If your device is seen you will should just be able to re rerun the installer with a different cable if possible. If it does show run the installer with the wipe option and try that. You could always go into android actions and factory reset and go again(think that option is there).
If not please try Welcome and install it will be quicker.
Edit: Forgot to add if using wipe option please make a back up if you want to keep anything from your device -
I was able to get it to work. It was a combination of usb cables and a different computer. Thanks for the help.

Really pleased to hear that, @CampOwl!
