Cant add Google account

Hi everyone!
I recently installed Ubuntu touch on my oneplus3T
I love it already!However when I try to connect to my Google account it doent do anythinpag
Pressing the button will go back to the account page.
I need it to import my contacts and calanderThanks in advace

Hi, I believe I've read previous posts about this issue, I suggest you search the forum. As I'm trying to free myself from Google (it was the whole point for me switching to UT
) I haven't tried creating a Google account. I imported my contacts from an .ics file, and I use a Gmail webapp from the store while I still get mail on my two Gmail accounts. But I disgress.

@ComLarsic This is a known issue on the OP3/T and will no doubt improve as it's development does. However try this for calendar https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3212/calendar-synchronization-of-ubuntu-and-ubuntu-touch/21 (last post in thread)The work around I found which is a pain at present I admit is this.
Use the text input field of the messaging app to put in your account details and copy and paste them a line at a time into Caldav account settings. You can do the same for Nextcloud to. It seems to need some text already in the account details box to work so will not work on the google account.
As for contacts export as .vcf file to somewhere you can access from the OP3 and import that way. You may find this of use also https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3323/arm64-apps-and-testing/41 -
@normandc i am also trying to break free, i was just using it once to import contacts and calander
