adb shell not working Meizu Pro 5
-
Could it be that you forgot to enable development mode in the about screen?
-
nope, that's done as a first thing after the install, I double checked and disabled and enabled again, just in case, nothing
-
I think this problem could be on both sides. Do you have another PC that you can try, or a different OS to boot on the same PC? Do you have any other Ubuntu phone that you could try the adb shell on with this same PC?
-
@hans1977se I tried Nexus 5, connected without any issue, don't know what's problem
-
@Stefano I too know it works on the Nexus 5, so i thought making sure that the PC side is ok would be a good start. Anyway, the device seems more likely to be the reason. I'm short on suggestions, but i think i have read that authentication is optional so it could be worth trying to find it and turn it off.

I had the same problem on the M10HD. Developer mode on, but the same error: device unauthorized. No confirmation dialog on device. Using UBports 15.04 stable
-
@BrisPete I might fill in a bug report
-
Have you guys restarted your device after enabling developer mode, then unlocked the device before plugging them in to your computer?
-
@UniSuperBox I only tried on N5, unlocked since ubports was installed and the adb shell worked without restart after enabling developer mode.
-
@UniSuperBox Or if you mean screen unlocked, I think it probably still was unlocked because I just enabled development mode and not long after i plugged in the cable.
-
@UniSuperBox I tried everything ,nothing works.

Hi, I have just installed UBPorts on Meizu Pro 5. It works great. I can also do 'adb shell' The only trick is that first time after you switch dev mode it asks to allow computer to connect on the phone. You have to accept message on the phone. After that you can connect with adb shell.
Thanks for great new system! -
@Burak Yes I have had this window pop up in the top right corner, asking to allow connection,it may only come up while connected to PC,or the first time dev is turned on
