Can you explain what are your sources.
I cannot find any indication about privacy concern by this company.

they are not a privacy focused company by any means but they got an idea i though i should share to try to implement it in UT if possible so what do you think of the idea

Well I think that it's a strange claim.

I don't see the real value of MAC spoofing in this case.
You will have ads targeted or not.
And you'll be identified by your IP address during each wifi session.

But yeah I think this is an idea and I guess an unconfined app can do this if someone is willing to make this a reality.
Seems rather complex though and may interfere with OTA...

UT already does this actually, its a feature introduced in NetworkManager 1.2, on new ports it prevents reconnecting to the previous wifi due to the lack of a persistent MAC being specified. I have actually investigated this issue quite a bit which led to figuring this info out, on supported devices I believe it does this as well but it gets a persistent MAC address for each connection, if Im not mistaken.

I implemented a constant change of macaddress to Kali Linux by adding lines to the file located in /etc/NetworcManager/NetworkManager.conf I suppose that in the ubut touch you can do the same thing. With each reboot, the poppy address changes to random, this will protect you from snooping
