I would be interested in the future of the morph browser and maybe new features.

        Thanks 🙂

Will qt 5.12 make it into OTA-15?

Have you thought about extending the open-store to include different "channels"?

So that devs could release beta versions for testing to users that opt in and also a "trusted" channel where only apps checked and compiled on trusted hardware are available (like the Fdroid store for Android)?

          Fairphone 5 (waiting for port)

Did someone say pinephone?! How is the progress with the pinephone? What things will be fixed, or will still be broken when we move to the new kernel?

With qt 5.12 and the Lomiri work with manjaro, will we see more cross platform app development? Will we see more click apps on the manjaro base, will we see more plasma apps on Ubuntu Touch, etc, or will there still be to many differences, such as Ubuntus life cycle, and that some kde apps (neochat for example) and Manjaro using qt 5.15, and different package management on different platforms?

Are there efforts between different projects, to try and minimise fragmentation?

Can you give any update on Anbox development, which I have heard has some dedicated developer effort behind it?

Also, can you help us understand the specific ubports team efforts to Anbox apart from upstream Anbox development? Maybe mainstream is focused on desktop / amd64 base while ubports team is of course targeting for phone / arm? Is it hoped to eventually submit upstream the ubports work?

Thanks again for all the hard work. Keep it up team!

There are 24 pull requests frozen for some time concerning morph-browser waiting to be merged. Is this for OTA-15 ?

I'm saying this because I just checked my insurance website on my phone and I can't see the emails that are being sent to me! Frustration!
For example, for the link of a mail, i get :
                2020-11-20T12:13:20.631Z.png

Having a strong morph-browser quickly would be a big plus. 😉

Ps : thank you very much for all the contributors of the pull requests of the big PR 401 AND for dano6 for this very big PR 👍👍 even if my problem isn't solved.

I saw this week that purism announced that they will begin with the mass production of the librem5 so here are my questions:

There are news about development of ubuntu touch for librem5? Is stll planed to port ubuntu touch on librem5?

                  And other related:
How is going the work with pinephone?

Thanks for your amazing job. (writed from my N5 with ubuntu)😉

A couple of months ago there has been a short discussions on enabling GPS access for apps in the background (github issue). Currently, there only exists a hacky way to record GPS tracks using the terminal app (forum link).
I completely understand that this issue is not a priority but could you maybe explain in a few words what the technical difficulties or security considerations behind are? Is it a bug or is it a feature? Many thanks to all of you!

To add to the PinePhone topic:

                      1. I've noticed the readme at https://gitlab.com/ubports/community-ports/pinephone (especially looking at the what works, what doesnt section) has not been updated for 4 Months. Has the development gotten this "slow" (comparing to a couple of months ago) or is the readme just not updated enough?

                      2. We have been teaserd some nice things like GPU acceleration and a pretty good camera experience on the PinePhone some time ago and other distros already got those features. What is holding Ubuntu Touch back, getting those things out in the public?

Other than that thank you all for your great work, currently waiting for my Volla Phone with UT (should be arriving within the next week) and I really cant wait for that.

                      Pixel 3a (dev channel)
BQ Aquaris M10 FHD (rc channel)
                      PinePhone (dev channel)
Volla Phone (currently running VollaOSf or WhatsApp, Netflix, ...)
OnePlus One (currently running LOS with microG, going back to Ubuntu Touch soon(TM))

I would be interested to know how easy say with the Pinetab or even the pinephone is it to use the fixes for broken Ubuntu Touch build elements that have been fixed perhaps in other builds.

As an example other builds for the pinetab have fixes already working for bluetooth/rotation etc say in Arch or Sailfish oS or Manjaro

Are these easy to port across?

I got my Nexus 4 then 5 then FP2 then one plus cooking on #UBUNTU via @ubports and have run it on Op3T Op6t OP5T Pinephone/Pro Pine Tab and Pinebook Pro and my favourite OnePlus One.
