This is my first installation of UbTouch, and there are two things that bother me:

        • I can't find the location of my SDCard with FileManager, while the Music application accesses, without any action from me, my music on the SD.
I can't import my contacts either.
        • I can't pair my bluetooth speakers.

        Thank you for your help

@smoky Bluetooth is a subject by itself on uTouch, see here :
          https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5150/bluetooth-working-devices-with-ut

For SDCard i don't know, no sdcard slot on MX4.

But i assume you unlocked access to all files in file manager?
Try to touch the 3 lines menu on top left of file manager, will lead you to "places", where could be listed your SDcard.

@smoky Indeed, there's no direct access to the sd card on UT.
Best is to go through a computer (MTP connection). From my side, I did put all my backup files directly in the downloads section of the file manager, and than restored from it.

Concerning Bluetooth issues, I noticed that if you enable Bluetooth on the device, nothing's happening, but restart the device will make it turning on with bluetooth activated, and then it works (except the calls in car, sound is not redirected to the bluetooth speakers).

I've found other bugs and workarounds for the RN7, concerning fingerprints keyring, video recording, camera hdr mode, call echo, etc... So I will try to give help if those subjects are open in appropriate threads.

In file manager your password is required to get access to directories above Downloads, Documents, Music etc and other directories located under /home/ (for example /home/Public).

As I understand UT can only work with vCard contacts (.vcf).

              • In Contact app find settings, then "Import from vCard file". Choose the File Manager app.

              • Find the file "contacts.vcf". In case you can't find it unlock the access by tapping Unlock access button and entering your password. After that you will find the file.

              • Choose that file.

              • Wait a couple seconds, and it's done. Now you have contacts imported 🙂

using ut on xiaomi mi a2

I can't pair my bluetooth speakers.

I paired the phone with Bluetooth headphones with the utility:
                /usr/bin/bluetoothctl
form the shell, through the configuration menu Bluetooth turns on, does not find anything and then turns off itself.

@markatrafik On my RN7, to make bluetooth working (OTA-16 stable) I have to:

                  1. Turn BT on (nothing will appear)
                  2. Restart the device (BT will be well activated)

BT works but calls in car are not yet handled.

I guess that this is an issue that the porter is aware and is working on.

                    Hello All

                    First, thanks for your answers.

                    @Keneda :
Yes I unlocked access to all files in files manager, and each time it was requested.
However, I didn't found the place where I could set my SD, whether it's in File Manager or another place in UbTouch.
It's as if the "point de montage" (in french) was mounted (as the music application sees the songs), but was not visible!

                    @Stanwood :
I understand your solution for SDCard, but I would need to access my SD "normally".
I don't have enough space in the internal storage for my song, pictures and so on.
For the Bluetooth, it's Ok with your solution, thanks.

That being said, I'm running out of time to find the right balance between what I have on my Lineage ROM and what I would have on UbTouch.

This really bothers me, as I'm very interested in your work.
I'm willing to make sacrifices, but again, I'm short on time.
So, I restored Lineage and my DATA partition.
I will continue to follow the forum and I'm sure I will come back.

Ps: I just remembered that I had another problem (sorry): no way to send pictures via MMS! Is it because of the APN ?

Always worked great on my MX4, for SFR, Free, or now Orange.
