I've got a Nexus 5 with dead Wi-Fi,I use bluetooth tethering to get internet access from my PC (which runs Windows and Mint on dual boot),problem is I can't get almost any app on my Ubuntu Touch without an internet connection and I'm kinda noob with Linux cli stuff, I don't want to install Ubuntu Touch if I can't guarantee internet access, bottom line, is there a way to get my phone to connect to the internet using bluetooth connection from my PC or even USB would be alright

What about mobile data, would that be an option?

          Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

I am also interested in solutions to similar problems, is it possible to connect for example a small Wi-Fi adapter via OTG cable, and whether it will be used by the system?

@reddeadalice Sorry BT tethering is not yet supported. Also, you might want to google for repair of your antenna, in most cases the antenna contacts might be just a bit worn, and bending them in shape could bring back correct WiFi reception.

@reddeadalice As @Flohack said, try pressing the back cover a bit firmly against the phone. The antenna is usually connected via an coax cable and a small connector.

In case you can't fix your wifi, Ethernet via USB is possible through Ubuntu Touch Tweak Tools, RNDIS feature.

@keneda The OP would want to share their laptop/PC internet to their device. Tethering on UTouch goes the other way around.
