        Hi,

I've always found weird the workflow to call someone:
search for a contact -> select a contact opens the contact view -> and start a call ( before it only populate the phone number on the dial page ).

Why not just selecting a contact populates the phone number, and if there are several numbers, just select one from a popup.
If i want to view/edit a contact, just use the swipe action

        Following PR here:
        https://github.com/ubports/dialer-app/pull/159

@lduboeuf That sounds perfect from Dialer app.

Do you think it would be the same for Contacts app as well?

Humm, what do you mean ? While on contact app, the contact selection open the contact view, that IMO the expected behavior.

@lduboeuf I'm asking because: aren't the two apps sharing the same code for contacts?

I've tested and it looks that works really well 🙂 but... (always a «but»):

                  • If contact has no phone number (I have a couple that have only email addresses), it goes back to Dialer, maybe a message could be ok, or opening the contact info?
                  • You are using account icon, better use contact icon (it's called contact)

They share some UI components yes, but the behavior is still managed independently in the two apps

@keneda You can install with any. If you download the click and share it with the OpenStore, it will allow you to install it
