Porting "Heebo" to Ubuntutouch
-
This is kind of a pull request, or a suggestion, no: a deep wish of mine!
In the legendary times of the N9 there was a game called "Heebo" by developper Mats Sjöberg. It was later ported by some people to Sailfish Os, because its totally open source. I love this game, you can download it here:
https://openrepos.net/content/hooddy/heebo
I wrote a mail to Mr. Sjöberg, and he answered that it shouldn't be too hard to port his game to Ubuntutouch. Unfortunately he doesn't own an Ubuntu Touch device, and without that it seems to be impossible to do any conversion.
He further writes: "The software and graphics are all open source, so if you know of someone who does know how to develop for Ubuntu Touch, I would naturally have no objections to anyone else porting it, and I would be glad to help in any way I can. In fact, the Sailfish and Android ports have been done by other people. I only created the original N9 (MeeGo) and Symbian versions."
So my question is: Is somebody here, who could port it? Unfortunately I'm not a developper at all, so I cannot do it, but if I could help, I would!
Thank You for listening. -
Sorry, I forgot to mention the archives:

@messayisto It was an old port for UT...
-
@messayisto this seems pretty straightforward at first glance. I will try to port it.
-
@aarontheissueguy oh, this would be great, thanks! Would it help you to have mats sjöbergs emailadress?
-
@messayisto I think I will be able to figure it out myself but it doesnt hurt if you give it to me
-

@aarontheissueguy looks promising! cross my fingers for further success!!
-
@aarontheissueguy YEAH!
-
@messayisto Ok after some more tinkering, it seems like I might have a harder time porting heebo than I initially anticipated. I will continue to try stuff but as this is only one of many projects I cant promise anything.
-
@aarontheissueguy I'll be patient, I promise! Don't let it bother you too much. but i hope you won' give up...
-
@aarontheissueguy by the way, I didn't ask what the actual problems are -?
