Unsupported Browser Version (Facebook live , video call etc)

@ariful-sujoy Camera cannot work in browser on UT currently on Halium (Android) based devices, indeed. The browser engine doesn't have any support for using libhybris to talk to Android HAL to access camera.

@dobey will this be automatically resolved with the rebase to 20.04 or will additional work be required?
-
Hi @totalrando
I think the problem is within Morph and especially with QtWebengine or even at system level.
So to answer your question I don't think rebasing to 20.04 will change anything on this topic.
This is a dedicated task and not a simple one IMO. -
@totalrando No, it has nothing to do with the OS version. The same work would still be required.

@dobey @AppLee I figured. Unfortunately as a person who loves my Bacon as a daily driver it's my biggest obstacle to full convergence (as ridiculous as it sounds, the only reason I'm even using my desktop computer now ia (a) a lack of the peripherals for this device-- which I'm changing God willing this week and (b) video calling (sone people just prefer it despite my best efforts to get them to just call me on the phone.)
It's a minor hassle, but between that and getting VoLTE, I'll take seeing VoLTE as priority. Oh well. :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:
