I've been following the development of the Pro1-X smartphone (ongoing Indiegogo campaign), and in their recent (7/13) update said their "devs have made great headway with OS development for Ubuntu Touch OS", but didn't really get specific. I was just curious if this is something you guys are involved in at all, or have any details about what kind of development they are alluding to.

What is the status of 20.04? Will it be ota-19 or ota-20?

Currently Using: Google Pixel 3a (sargo) OTA-17

@trwidick in the OTA-18 changelog, wayland support was mentioned. Does it mean we can now run wayland apps on android-based devices?

@kugiigi unfortunately xenial_-_android9_-_wayland is not merged yet 😞 So definitely no wayland apps support in OTA-18

What's the plan re revising the login screen? Will it be an alternative to the current default Lomiri Circle or will it be a replacement for it in a next OTA release?

I would like to hear more from the same topic as ub_newbie. FxTec Pro1-X sounds too good to be true - is it true that we have working "convergent" device in near future? Does someone allready have the device and if so does the HDMI work like plug-and-play?

And on the same topic - if I buy Pro1-X does Ubports get commission?

With the new Anbox only supporting Halium9 devices, are there plans to upgrade some supported Halium7 devices that on Android side would also support Halium9? The older OnePlus devices for example.

                        Fairphone 5 (waiting for port)

The PinePhone is getting increasingly better and better, the UBports software has made calling and texting much better, and more stable, however there seems to be a limit on how good it can get, not from the Ubuntu side, or the hardware side, but from the firmware pre-installed, how good can the call and messaging features get with the pre-installed firmware, and what seems to be the overall thougths on upgrading the modems firmware, or installing the open source firmware from Biktorgj
