Help! I have a Volla phone (US) and have Volla OS installed. Can not get it to work with a carrier. In other forums there was success on ATT. So I went to ATT and the Rep took her card and put the card in my phone to test it. Worked beautifully. So she activated a new sim exactly the same as hers. Does not work. Called ATT tech and they said my phone was unsupported because it only runs 3g and I said not so. On the reps card it was running volte. He said it only worked because the card is associated with her phone. I said that doesn’t make sense because that sim slot is a different IMEI! I give up and by the way red pocket support is terrible tried them first! So I have a brand new phone that is useless! Any help would be appreciated.

@camaher
The support here is for uTouch OS, not Volla.
Not to say you won't have any, but you maybe should rather try to contact phone vendor wich is Hallo Welt and who is providing Volla OS. -
@camaher There might be something in here that helps or one of the links might. There are plenty of users who get calls working using UT in USA so it should be the same for Android which Volla OS is based on I think. You are though as @Keneda said probably best of on a Volla forum but if someone can help I'm sure they will. I've also moved this to OT as it is really Volla related.
When you are sorted you could always give UT a try using the installer https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/yggdrasil/ details here. -
@camaher
Oh i forgot to ask, did you try activating your SIM in an already working/approved phone before using it with your Volla.
This way maybe you'll be able to use your SIM like you where able to with the Rep SIM? -
@keneda I realize that but I had touch on Volla. And couldn’t connect to a cellular network and then reinstalled vollla OS through UBPorts. Thanks.

@keneda that’s going to be the solution.
I know it doesn’t make sense, but AT&T doesn’t automatically update that you’re using a new device when you swap the SIM to a new phone. If it’s not updated in their system manually it doesn’t change.
I have a OnePlus 7t Pro coming in later this week or early next week and can try it out again (also curious if this will let an unsupported device use 5G).

Just gave this a try, looks like they’ve made some changes. I can sometimes get 5G, others it’ll only do 2G/3G/LTE.
