        Hi,
I tried to install ubtouch on Oneplus 6 with Android 10 (a mistake, I should have downgraded first to Android 9...).
Now I can just boot in fastmode (recovery mode brings me to fastboot too) and I don't know what to do to restore Android 10 or 9 - the phone is bricked... (I can't even set it off: it boots back to fastmode).
It was a brand new device I just bought to use ubtouch (enchilada) on πŸ˜•

@reynald Phone is not bricked, you are in fastboot mode. You can recover it from this. Go and find the Android 9 ROM for that phone, you can usually flash it in fastboot mode when attached to a PC. Check the OnePlus forums out.

@mrt10001 I tried to flash from stock Android 9 image (https://oxygenos.oneplus.net/fulldowngrade_wipe_MSM_17819_181025_2315_user_MP1_release.zip).
I extracted the img files with payload_dumper, and flashed like explained in forums :
            fastboot flash aop_b aop.img
            fastboot flash bluetooth_a bluetooth.img
            fastboot flash bluetooth_b bluetooth.img
            fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
            fastboot flash boot_b boot.img
            fastboot flash dsp_a dsp.img
            fastboot flash dsp_b dsp.img
            fastboot flash dtbo_a dtbo.img
            fastboot flash dtbo_b dtbo.img
            fastboot flash fw_4j1ed_a fw_4j1ed.img
            fastboot flash fw_4j1ed_b fw_4j1ed.img
            fastboot flash fw_4u1ea_a fw_4u1ea.img
            fastboot flash fw_4u1ea_b fw_4u1ea.img

            fastboot flash oem_stanvbk oem_stanvbk.img
            fastboot flash qupfw_a qupfw.img
            fastboot flash qupfw_b qupfw.img
            fastboot flash storsec_a storsec.img
            fastboot flash storsec_b storsec.img
            fastboot flash system_a system.img
            fastboot flash system_b system.img
            fastboot flash vbmeta_a vbmeta.img
            fastboot flash vbmeta_b vbmeta.img
            fastboot flash vendor_a vendor.img
            fastboot flash vendor_b vendor.img
            fastboot flash LOGO_a LOGO.img
            fastboot flash LOGO_b LOGO.img
            fastboot reboot bootloader

I rebooted, and now... the phone is really bricked (doesn't start anymore).
            So bad...

@reynald When you put it on charge and press the power on button, do you get the battery charging symbol, or an LED indicator?

@mrt10001 OK, I managed to restart it to fastboot mode (after some time...) and I'm downloading another firmware image since the previous seems to be... unusable.
                Wait and see...

@reynald Good news! I haven't bricked any phone yet when installing Ubuntu touch, but there are quirks that you have to persevere to work out (example is I could only get it to install on a Oneplus Three using windows and not Ubuntu).

You need the MSMdownload Tool from xda-developers forum. It will unbrick your device.

It's a windows only tool. In the forums here, there is a linux equivalent. Search op6 sub-category

@mrt10001 Got Mauronofrio ROM https://sourceforge.net/projects/fastbootroms/files/OnePlus 6/ and flashed 9.0.9 flawlessly, but the device still not booting (white LED on and nothing else).

I also tried to (fast)boot to TWRP.img, but same result : white LED and nothing else.

So the device is not "bricked" since I can access fastboot mode, but I can't manage to boot into anything else...

@reynald TWRP wipe and format to ext4 data, cache and system as on OP3/5 will that not clear it enough to just run the UBports installer?

I just reflashed the device with Android 9.0.8 with MSM Download, so Android 9 is running OK.

Switched to developper mode, unlocked, and then ubports-installer (0.8.8) says "Your device sdm845 is not supported".

On this page https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/enchilada/ it's said this device sdm845 is supported, so what???

@lakotaubp OK, I managed to configure Android 9 and start ubports-installer.

The new problem is: ubports-installer recognize the phone, downloads files, and the 9/12 file has bad checksum and the whole thing fails:

error: download error: Error: Error: Checksum mismatch on file /home/reynald/.cache/ubports/enchilada/Ubuntu Touch/boot-caf5011e14b7d983ea9f2384ef2fc43c4937bbd0006b30ff1aa65c87ae2ef8ee.tar.xz

I will make a new post for this issue

                                Try using ubports-installer 0.8.9_beta1
It worked for me with OP6 and OP6T.
Newer versions 0.9.0_beta1 and 0.9.1_beta1 doesn't work either.
