        I'm pretty sure it doesn't, but just to ask:

        Does Telegram support sending text messages to people who do not have telegram? I know Signal on Android does just not familiar enough with Telegram to know its capabilities.

          My understanding is that it does not as you need to have the user as a contact (either via mobile number or username). If they have not got Telegram are you talking about sending normal text messages (SMS’s) or messages to other apps such as Whatsapp? I know that Pidgin in Ubuntu is a multi-client chat app but Telegram is now currently,

            I'm talking normal SMS messages. Do they have to have telegram to send texts to or not?
