@Lakota I got mine for the M10 and the E5 later today. Both of them worked all OK, but there was no notification to let me know there was an update. Also the look on the M10 and the E5 is different, but I have the update.

RE: UBPorts standing out a bit with branding (not Ubuntu Touch)
Sure, something like a standard UBPorts wall paper as default, our own colours or even something in the Settlings to say Ports. Rather than still saying Ubuntu Edition.
Also after the initial reboot where it says 'Powered by Ubuntu@ the M10 shows the UBPorts icon with the flashing dots for a few seconds. However, the E5 shows the Ubuntu Touch logo with the flashing dots. The E5 should show the UBPorts icon.
I just think that We are UPorts and for that reason we should shout it from the roof tops and get the UBPorts logo everywhere :-)
UBPorts standing out a bit with branding (not Ubuntu Touch)
Recently I moved over to UBPorts on my bq M10 from Touch. It took me a fair bit to move over, but in the end I got there, which I am very pleased about.
I had to reboot twice to check that it was UBPorts that I was on and not the old version of Touch. This is due to the fact that it looked the same. I am not sure if the update will stand out a bit more, but if not we really need to get UBPorts to stand out a bit more from Touch.
RE: OTA-2 complete?
I have just recently been able to install UBPorts on to my bq M10, it currently has r1 under the build number. I really think that we need to make UBPorts stand out a bit and look different to UT. When I installed UB I had to reboot to check that it was Ports and not UT, as there looked no difference.
@flohack, so if it is there now, does that mean that it eill e downloaded to our devices, so we can update? I only ask this as I have ported yesterday and today still nothing in updates and my OS is still on r1
RE: Unable to install UBPorts on bq M10
Thanks guys for all your posts and words of help. I have over the last few days, been able to get UBPorts on my M10 (after a lot of trying) and now I have r1 under Settings > About >Build Number. It does take a long time to boot up and sticks on the 'Powered by Ubuntu' screen for around 3 minutes, then I see the U|BPorts logon with the flashing dots.
I must say that I was hoping to have more visual ways to tell that I was on UBPorts though. After the first boot up I checked the Settings, but could not tell if I was in UT or U|BPorts, so I rebooted to check that I had the UBPorts logo on boot. To versify the update had worked correct. We need to make U|BPorts look different, so you can tell the difference.
Initially I emailed Marius from the MDT site. Thankfully he replied and gave me the following link (sudo snap install magic-device-tool --devmode). I removed my previous version of MDT and installed the devmode version. This found my device and started the porting process. However, after it had finished I looked and it had installed the previous (clean) version of Touch.
So I then went on to the devices.ubports.com site and followed the 'Install using system-image server' method. This worked and now I am running UBPorts. This means that I can have Dekko 2, winch I really like.
Thanks again for all your help and thanks to Marius.
RE: Unable to install UBPorts on bq M10
Tonight I followed the Readme on the magic-device-tool site and I installed:
sudo apt install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
I then tried to run the tool and still 'Device not found'
I then tried to run in sudo su, but still 'Device not found'
I tried to run sudo bash but I got the following:
sudo: unable to resolve host uklaptop
This really should not be so hard.
RE: Hellow I'm new here
I ported my E5 over to UBPorts using the magic-device-tool, without any issues. I then installed to openstore also from the mdt. The process is quite simple and you should not have any issues with the E5. It looks and feels nice, but remember that it is not a core device (as yet, he says hoping) and as such you will only get major security updates, with the odd update, but not the latest UBPorts releases. There are no more updates for UT, so if you look at it that way, you have got nothing to loose by moving over.
