@c4pp4 It comforts me to be able to use it even through mobile data

@c4pp4 , I have same (MI a2) using any app.
when disabled WIFI and enabled Cellular data, all looks ok. When starting an app using WIFI (even browser like Edge or DuckDuckGo) I am able to load page but at some point whole device crashes ( so it is not always immediate reaction ) ...sorry for noise, I know thread is resolved already but I tried to add any info if may be useful..
-
@mkarpicki What apps are you using? Is e.g. Whatsapp running without problems?
-
@c4pp4 , sorry for late reply.
it is actually interesting - could be that my assumption about WIFI is not exactly valid.I tried MS Edge (browser) and DuckDuckGo (browser) and both made my phone crashing when I had WIFI enabled - but in both cases it loaded page normally (which I had open from previous session) and only scrolling up/down page content made my device crashing.
After that I also tried HERE WeGo Maps and I downloaded some map content having only WIFI enabled and it seem to be ok.
when I try mentioned browsers without WIFI again, all works well..

@mkarpicki I've tried WhatsApp and it's working as well with cellular data.
-
@c4pp4 , you mean both on WIFI or Cellular Data?
I can play with more apps next days maybe but for sure browsers I tried crash device, I tried to look into waydroid's log but I did not see any exception (could be I must search harder as each restart and run puts new logs I guess).
In case I will have more detailed debug results, I will post here (for now I can use device without WIFI as well) -
@mkarpicki No, I meant cellular data.

@stanwood said in Waydroid reboots my phone connected by wifi:
@soulrock So I checked with Rudi.
He just told me that this device hasn't got the appropriate kernel patch, this explains why you have some issues.Please contact the porter, or wait until a fix comes in a future OTA update.
@stanwood
Hi, would you please specify what patch is missing or ask Rudi?Here you can see related kernel changes: https://github.com/ubports-xiaomi-sdm660/android_kernel_xiaomi_sdm660/commit/36668a5cb62a916e2bcde178fce808f34726856f

@c4pp4 You can ping @ruditimmer , hoping he can help you..

@stanwood
Hi, thank you, I talked to him and it looks like there is no problem with missing kernel option. I made an issue: https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/268
